What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent and persistent late payment of rent. The Landlord served valid N4 and N8 notices, and the Tenants did not void the notices by paying the arrears.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $16,190.24 by January 13, 2024. If the Tenant does not void the order, the Tenant must pay $11,523.40 to the Landlord and vacate the unit by January 13, 2024. The Tenant will also owe daily compensation of $40.92 for each day of occupation after November 9, 2023.
