What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to their failure to pay rent as required by a previous LTB order. The Tenants did not meet the condition in the previous order to pay the rent for May 2023 by the due date.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective June 5, 2023. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $5,182.10 plus $53.84 per day starting May 26, 2023 until they vacate the unit. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by June 5, 2023, they will owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
