What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to the Tenant seriously impairing the safety of another tenant by threatening her with a knife, and also causing wilful damage to a shower curtain in the residential complex.

The ruling

The Landlord has proven the grounds for termination of the tenancy. The tenancy will be terminated on March 9, 2024, and the Tenant must vacate the unit by that date. The Tenant shall also pay the Landlord $201 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by March 9, 2024, they will start owing interest at 7% annually on the outstanding balance.
