What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent as per the previous order. The Tenant failed to pay $5,000 towards the outstanding arrears by March 14, 2023 and the April 2023 rent by April 1, 2023 as required by the previous order.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 26, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $14,902.25 plus $61.25 per day starting May 16, 2023 until the Tenant vacates the unit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by May 26, 2023, the Tenant will owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
