What happened

The Tenant applied for remedies alleging the Landlord substantially interfered with their reasonable enjoyment. The Tenant claimed the Landlord was responsible for two vehicles being towed from the Tenant's designated parking spots and that the rental unit suffered from an unresolved cockroach infestation.

The ruling

The Tenant's application was dismissed in its entirety. The Board found the Tenant failed to provide sufficient evidence that the Landlord was responsible for towing the vehicles or that the cockroach issues constituted a substantial interference with reasonable enjoyment. The Landlord's request for $1,000.00 in costs was also denied as the application was not found to be frivolous or vexatious.
