What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenants remained in the unit after the termination date and for reasonable out of pocket expenses which he has or will incur for undue damage alleged to be wilfully or negligently caused by the Tenants or their occupants.

The ruling

The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord $845.00 for one month's compensation for the use of the rental unit for the month of February 2024. The Landlord's claims for damages, parking fees, and legal costs are dismissed.
