Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent as per the previous order issued on August 23, 2023.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 16, 2024. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $3,300 in rent arrears and $36.16 per day in compensation starting January 6, 2024 until the Tenant vacates. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by January 16, 2024, the Tenant will owe interest at 7% annually on the outstanding balance.
