What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord served a valid N4 Notice and the Tenants did not void the notice by paying the arrears.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $4,286, which includes rent arrears up to the date the Landlord sold the rental unit and the application filing cost. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by August 25, 2024, they will start owing interest at 7% annually on the outstanding balance.
