What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year by the Landlord's daughter.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlord and Tenant is terminated effective September 30, 2023. The Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before September 30, 2023. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $4,072.50 for use of the unit from September 1, 2022 to March 15, 2023, and an additional $20.78 per day starting March 16, 2023 until the Tenant moves out.
