What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenants did not void by paying the arrears.

The ruling

Unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $28,986 by August 31, 2024 or $32,186 by September 20, 2024, the tenancy will be terminated effective September 20, 2024. If the Tenant does not void the order, they must pay the Landlord $19,645.04 and vacate the unit by September 20, 2024.
