What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to persistent late payment of rent. The Landlord served a valid N8 notice of termination on August 15, 2023, and the Tenants continued to pay rent late after the notice was served.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 6, 2024. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $62.55 per day in compensation starting May 1, 2024 until they move out, as well as the $186 application fee.
