What happened
The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant because the Tenant entered into an agreement to terminate the tenancy. The Tenant filed a motion to set aside the previous order issued on December 4, 2024 without a hearing. The Tenant had signed N9 forms to terminate the tenancy, but later claimed he did not want to move out.
The ruling
The Tenant's motion to set aside the previous eviction order is denied. The stay of the previous order is lifted on April 30, 2025, giving the Tenant some additional time to find alternative housing.
