What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant and Unauthorized Occupant, and for compensation for the use of the rental unit. The Tenant vacated the unit prior to the date the Landlord filed the application, and the Unauthorized Occupant was in possession of the rental unit on the date the application was filed.
The ruling
The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenant is terminated as of September 26, 2022. The Unauthorized Occupant shall move out of the rental unit on or before April 30, 2023. The Occupant shall pay the Landlord $18,000 for outstanding daily compensation from October 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023, and $98.63 per day from April 12, 2023 until the date the Occupant moves out. The Occupant shall also pay the Landlord $201 for the cost of filing the application.
