What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant's failure to meet a condition specified in a previous LTB order to pay $1,300 towards rent arrears by February 15, 2023.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 5, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $14,300 in remaining rent arrears from the previous order, plus $29.59 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting April 25, 2023 until the Tenant vacates. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by May 5, 2023, they will owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
