What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's failure to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board. The Tenant did not pay the rent for September 2023 by the due date of September 1, 2023, as required by the previous order.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must move out by February 25, 2024. If the Tenant does not vacate by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $4,767.92, plus $35.38 per day for compensation starting December 6, 2023 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 25, 2024, the Tenant will start owing interest at 7% annually on the outstanding balance.
