What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's failure to meet the conditions specified in a previous LTB order, including not paying the full rent arrears and current rent by the due date.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective May 14, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $10,306.78 (less any payments made after the application was filed) for rent arrears and the cost of the previous application. The Tenant must also pay the Landlord $25.40 per day for compensation for the use of the unit starting May 4, 2023, until the Tenant vacates. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by May 14, 2023, the Tenant will owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
