What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants because the Tenants, another occupant of the rental unit or someone the Tenants permitted in the residential complex has substantially interfered with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest of the Landlord or another tenant, and the Tenants, another occupant of the rental unit or someone the Tenants permitted in the residential complex has wilfully or negligently caused damage to the premises.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenants continues if the Tenants meet the conditions set out in the order. The Tenants shall refrain from willfully damaging the rental unit or residential complex for one year from the date of this order and pay the Landlord $565.00 which represents the reasonable costs of repairing the damage or replacing the damaged property by March 22, 2024. If the Tenants fail to comply with the conditions, the Landlord may apply for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenants.
