What happened

The landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenants due to their failure to meet a condition specified in a previous LTB order. The tenants failed to pay $700 towards outstanding arrears by March 15, 2023 and failed to pay the full rent for April 2023 by April 1, 2023.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 16, 2023. The tenants must pay the landlord $6,779.68 (less any payments made after the application was filed) for rent arrears, the cost of the previous application, and NSF charges. The tenants must also pay the landlord $54.72 per day for compensation for continued occupancy starting May 6, 2023 until they move out.
