What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year by the Landlord's child.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective September 30, 2023. The Tenant must vacate the rental unit by that date. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord compensation of $32.39 per day for the use of the unit starting June 13, 2023 until the date the Tenant moves out. The Landlord owes the Tenant $997.56 for the rent deposit and interest.
