What happened

The Tenant filed a T2 application against the Landlord. However, the application was found to be entirely blank, containing no allegations of misconduct and no requested remedies. The Tenant argued that the Landlord should be aware of the issues based on evidence uploaded to the LTB portal, but the Board found this procedurally insufficient.

The ruling

The Tenant's T2 application is dismissed in its entirety. The Board found that because the application form was blank, it did not provide the Landlord with sufficient notice of the allegations or the remedies being sought, violating procedural fairness.
