What happened
The landlord applied for an order requiring the tenant to pay the rent that the tenant owes. The tenant vacated the unit on July 8, 2022 in accordance with an N11 Agreement to End the Tenancy, but owed rent arrears for the period from September 1, 2021 to July 8, 2022.
The ruling
The tenant shall pay the landlord $6,930.60, which includes rent arrears owed up to July 8, 2022 and the cost of the application. If the tenant does not pay the full amount by April 29, 2023, the tenant will start to owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
