What happened
The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to non-payment of rent. Before the hearing concluded, the parties reached a consent agreement to terminate the tenancy retroactively to the date the Tenant moved out and to settle the outstanding arrears.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective April 27, 2025, by consent. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $351.82 by July 31, 2025. This amount represents the remaining rent arrears and filing fee after deducting the rent deposit and payments made since the filing of the application. If payment is not made by the deadline, interest will accrue at 4.00% annually.
