What happened
The Landlord applied for the termination of the tenancy and eviction due to rent arrears. During the hearing, the parties reached a consent agreement regarding a payment plan for the arrears. It was noted that Tenant 1 had passed away in September 2024, and the remaining tenants agreed to the repayment terms to maintain the tenancy.
The ruling
The LTB approved a consent agreement between the Landlord and the Tenants. The Tenants are ordered to pay $7,214.61 in arrears through a series of monthly installments ending in September 2026. If any payment is missed, the Landlord may apply to the Board for an immediate eviction order and the full balance will become due.
