What happened

The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to non-payment of rent. The Tenants failed to pay rent after April 2025 and did not respond to the Landlord's attempts to establish a repayment plan. The Tenants did not attend the hearing, and the LTB found the arrears to be significant, leading to the termination of the tenancy.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective September 5, 2025. The Tenants may void the order by paying $11,645.48 by August 31, 2025, or $14,510.35 by September 5, 2025. If the Tenants do not void the order, they must move out and pay the Landlord $7,116.64 plus daily compensation of $94.19 from August 14, 2025, until they vacate.
