What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant or another occupant committing an illegal act involving the production and trafficking of illegal drugs, as well as the Tenant or another occupant seriously impairing the safety of others in the residential complex.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective August 31, 2023. The Tenant must vacate the unit by this date. If the unit is not vacated, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $1,180 for use of the unit from July 1 to August 31, 2023, and $26.96 per day starting September 1, 2023 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by August 31, 2023, they will owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
