What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenants did not void by paying the arrears. The tenants were still in possession of the rental unit at the time of the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy will be terminated on August 15, 2023 unless the tenants pay the full amount owing by the specified deadlines. The tenants can void the order and continue the tenancy by paying $11,586 by June 30, 2023, $13,226 by July 31, 2023, or $14,866 by August 15, 2023. If the tenants do not void the order, they must pay $9,654 to the landlords and vacate the unit by August 15, 2023.
