What happened

The landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenants due to non-payment of rent. The landlord served a valid N4 notice, and the tenants did not void the notice by paying the arrears. The tenants were still in possession of the rental unit at the time of the hearing.

The ruling

The landlord is entitled to $186 for the application filing fee. If the tenant does not pay this amount by June 5, 2023, they will start owing interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
