What happened

The Tenant filed a request to review a previous LTB order that had terminated the tenancy and authorized eviction due to non-payment of rent. An interim stay was granted. A hearing was scheduled for the review; however, only the Landlord's representative attended. The Tenant failed to appear to support the request for review.

The ruling

The Landlord and Tenant Board denied the Tenant's request for a review of a previous eviction order. Because the Tenant did not attend the scheduled hearing, the review was considered abandoned. The stay of the original eviction order (dated May 30, 2025) is lifted, meaning the Landlord can proceed with the eviction for non-payment of rent.
