What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlords in good faith require possession of the rental unit for residential occupation for at least one year. The Landlords also claimed compensation for each day the Tenants remained in the unit after the termination date.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective June 16, 2023. Tenants must pay $9,213.40 for use and occupation from July 1, 2022 to January 25, 2023, plus $51.75 per day from January 26, 2023 until they move out. Tenants must also pay $186.00 for the application filing fee. The eviction order expires on December 17, 2023 if not filed with the Sheriff.
