What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's failure to meet the conditions specified in a previous LTB order. The Tenant did not pay the lawful rent for March 2023 and did not pay $750 by the due date.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective June 16, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $31,894.50 in rent arrears and $78.90 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting June 6, 2023 until the Tenant vacates. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by June 16, 2023, the Tenant will owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
