What happened

Landlord applied for orders to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to non-payment of rent and the Landlord's need for personal use of the rental unit. The Tenant did not attend the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective June 10, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $14,389.81, which includes rent arrears and the application filing fee, minus the rent deposit and interest. The Tenant must also pay daily compensation of $82.19 from May 18, 2023 until the date the Tenant vacates. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by June 10, 2023, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
