What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord also claimed charges related to NSF cheques.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant pays $12,716 by April 22, 2023 to void the order. If the Tenant does not pay, the Tenant must move out by April 22, 2023 and pay the Landlord $8,098.68, which includes rent arrears, filing fees, and NSF charges, minus the rent deposit and interest.
