What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's failure to meet the conditions specified in a previous LTB order, including not paying the full rent arrears and current rent by the due dates.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective May 7, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $11,112.98 (less any payments made after March 6, 2023) for rent arrears and the previous application fee. The Tenant must also pay $31.23 per day in compensation starting April 27, 2023 until the Tenant vacates the unit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by May 7, 2023, the Tenant will owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
