What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to the Tenants substantially interfering with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful rights, privileges and interests of other tenants or the Landlord by keeping the rental unit in an unclean state, with inappropriate items on the balcony, and causing a pest infestation.
The ruling
The Landlord proved the grounds for termination, but the Tenancy will continue subject to conditions. The Tenants have until May 1, 2025 to de-clutter the unit, maintain cleanliness, and cooperate with pest control. If the Tenants fail to comply, the Landlord can apply to terminate the tenancy.
