What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant substantially interfering with the reasonable enjoyment of the residential complex for all usual purposes by the landlord or another tenant or substantially interfering with another lawful right, privilege or interest of the Landlord or another tenant. The Landlord alleged the Tenant failed to keep the unit in a state of ordinary cleanliness, stored clutter in the common areas, failed to remove garbage and debris, and engaged in altercations with other individuals at the complex.
The ruling
The Landlord's application to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant is granted. The Tenant must vacate the unit by May 14, 2024 and pay the Landlord $2,794.32, which includes compensation for use of the unit and application filing costs. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by May 14, 2024, they will owe interest at 7% annually on the outstanding balance.
