What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to persistent late payment of rent. The Tenants have been late in paying rent 19 times since May 2021.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective June 4, 2023. The Tenant must move out by that date or the Landlord can file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction. The Tenant owes the Landlord $9,299.42, which includes compensation for use of the unit and the application filing fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by June 4, 2023, they will owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
