What happened

The landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenant because the tenant, another occupant of the rental unit or someone the tenant permitted in the residential complex has substantially interfered with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest of the landlords or another tenant.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated. The tenant must move out by April 16, 2023. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the landlords may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement. The tenant must pay the landlords $6,087.67, which includes compensation for use of the unit from October 24, 2022 to March 1, 2023, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The tenant must also pay $60.49 per day for use of the unit from March 2, 2023 until the date the tenant moves out, as well as the $186 application fee.
