What happened

Tenants applied for an order determining the Landlord harassed, obstructed, or interfered with them and failed to maintain the unit regarding bedbugs and a privacy breach involving the Landlord's agent's workplace email. Tenants also disputed the termination terms of their lease.

The ruling

The Tenants' application (T2/T6) was dismissed. The Board found the Landlord acted reasonably in addressing maintenance issues (bedbugs) and that the alleged privacy breach did not constitute harassment or substantial interference. The Landlord's refusal to accept an early termination notice that did not comply with the Act was found to be lawful.
