What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's failure to meet the conditions specified in a previous LTB order, including non-payment of rent arrears and current rent.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 12, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $16,473.29, which includes rent arrears up to May 1, 2023, and the cost of the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant must also pay the Landlord $51.12 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting May 2, 2023 until the Tenant moves out.
