What happened

The Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy for personal use. A previous order granted the application but delayed eviction by four months. The Tenant requested a review of that order, seeking a further delay until May 31, 2026, citing age, low income, and barriers to finding new housing. The Tenant also claimed a language barrier prevented these issues from being fully raised at the initial hearing.

The ruling

The Tenant's request for a review of the eviction order was denied. The Board confirmed that the original decision to grant a four-month delay in termination sufficiently accounted for the Tenant's age and financial circumstances. The original order remains unchanged and in full effect.
