What happened
The landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenant because the landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective April 16, 2023. The tenant must move out by that date. If the unit is not vacated by April 16, 2023, the landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) for enforcement. The tenant must pay the landlord $3,332.98 in compensation for use of the unit from October 1, 2022 to March 22, 2023, and $19.27 per day from March 23, 2023 until the tenant moves out. The tenant must also pay the $186 application filing fee.
