What happened
Tenants applied for an order determining that Landlords entered the rental unit illegally, substantially interfered with the reasonable enjoyment of the rental unit or residential complex, and harassed, obstructed, coerced, threatened or interfered with the Tenants.
The ruling
Unless the Tenant voids the order, the tenancy was terminated effective September 8, 2022, the date the tenants vacated the rental unit. If the tenant does not void the order, the tenants are ordered to pay $5,822 to the landlord, which includes rent arrears up to the move-out date and the cost of filing the application, minus the rent deposit and interest on the deposit.
