What happened

The Landlord, a property management company, applied to evict the Tenant for non-payment of rent. The Tenant, a resident for approximately five years, fell into arrears after her roommate stopped contributing to rent and she had to provide full-time care for her ill mother, impacting her income. The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant voids the order by paying the full amount owing. To void the order, the Tenant must pay $9,227.34 by May 31, 2025, or $10,753.08 by June 15, 2025. If the payment is not made, the Tenant must vacate the unit by June 15, 2025, and pay the Landlord $6,501.95 plus daily compensation of $50.16 from May 7, 2025, until moving out.
