What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to their failure to meet a condition specified in a previous LTB order to pay $10,000 towards rent arrears by May 5, 2023.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective June 12, 2023. The Tenants must pay the Landlords $21,260.89, which includes the remaining rent arrears from the previous order and daily compensation for use of the unit starting June 2, 2023. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by June 12, 2023, they will owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
