What happened
The Landlords applied for the termination of tenancy and eviction of the Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant did not dispute the arrears but cited difficulties receiving ODSP payments due to a mail strike and her being under house arrest, which prevented her from collecting cheques in person.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective December 10, 2025, unless the Tenant voids the order. To void, the Tenant must pay $5,250.00 by November 30, 2025, or $6,938.00 by December 10, 2025. If the Tenant fails to pay and move out, the Landlord may enforce eviction starting December 11, 2025. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $2,232.87 (after deposit deductions) plus $55.50 daily compensation if the tenancy is terminated.
