What happened

The landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenant because the tenant did not meet certain conditions specified in a mediated settlement signed by the parties on February 17 & 27, 2023 with respect to a previous application.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 8, 2023. The tenant must pay the landlord $9,283.15 (less any payments made after the application was filed on March 6, 2023) for rent arrears up to April 27, 2023 and the cost of the previous application. The tenant must also pay the landlord $25.25 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting April 28, 2023 until the tenant moves out.
