What happened
The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant because the rental unit is a superintendent's premises and the Tenant's employment as a superintendent had ended. The Landlord also sought compensation for the period the Tenant remained in the unit after the termination of employment.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective September 5, 2025. The Tenant is ordered to move out by that date and pay the Landlord $8,145.58 for use and occupation of the unit and filing costs. Additionally, the Tenant must pay $53.42 per day for each day they remain in the unit from August 21, 2025, until they vacate. If the Tenant does not vacate, the Landlord may enforce the eviction through the Sheriff starting September 6, 2025.
