What happened
The Landlords applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to unpaid rent. At the hearing, both parties reached a consent agreement. The Tenants acknowledged owing $4,776.00 in arrears and agreed to a payment plan to settle the debt while also paying their ongoing rent on time.
The ruling
The tenancy is not terminated. Instead, a conditional order based on a consent agreement is issued. The Tenants must pay arrears of $4,776.00 through a payment plan, starting with $450.00 monthly from May 25, 2025, to February 25, 2026, and a final payment of $276.00 by March 25, 2026. They must also pay their ongoing monthly rent in full and on time. If the Tenants fail to comply with these conditions, the Landlords can apply for an eviction order without another hearing.
