What happened

Landlords applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay the rent they owe. The Tenants raised several issues under section 82 of the Act, including lack of heat, flooding, and mould. The Landlords and Tenants attended the hearings.

The ruling

The Landlords are entitled to an order for the arrears owing to them. The Tenants are entitled to rent abatements for the Landlords' breaches regarding heat, mould, and the oven. The Landlords must rectify the mould issue within 30 days or face an ongoing rent abatement.
