What happened
The Tenants filed applications alleging the Landlord collected or retained money illegally and gave a notice of termination in bad faith. The Landlord intended to demolish the rental unit and move in, and the Tenants vacated the unit as a result.
The ruling
The Landlord failed to compensate the Tenants equal to one month's rent, so the Landlord must pay the Tenants $1,405.00. However, the Landlord did not give a notice of termination in bad faith, so the Tenants' T5 applications are dismissed.
